our approach to nature education
“My favourite part of the programme has been being with nature more, not sitting at home or just learning at school. It's really fun being outside, every two weeks, for a lesson.”
WildED Student
Our WildED Programme in secondary schools and youth groups and our Nature Education Programmes at our Intergenerational Nature Restoration Projects have inspired over 6,000 young people in secondary schools and youth groups across the UK to carry out positive action for nature over the past decade.
With 64% of young people in the UK experiencing eco-anxiety and many more disconnected from nature and feeling powerless to protect and restore it, our programmes act as a powerful antidote, and they have never been more vital.
Designed by teachers, environmental educators, young people and youth workers, our programmes are inspiring, educational and fun.

"Being able to truly celebrate young people no matter what, and inspire them to reconnect with nature and community is so fulfilling. It's wonderful to see young people, youth workers and teachers nurture a deeper care for their local spaces, improving wellbeing and creating lasting change for people and nature."
