DONOR Policy
1. Introduction
Action for Conservation takes financial fraud very seriously. This policy explains the steps we take to prevent fraud and what we ask of our donors. Please read this policy carefully.
If you have any queries about the policy, please get in touch with us using the contact details set out below.
2. Funding Applications
When we submit an application for funds, we do so with the approval of our Trustees and senior staff. In all applications we make, we outline how we intend to use any funds received. When funding is received, we refer to any specific restrictions the donor has made as to how the money should be spent and any reporting requirements.
3. Donor Verification
We ask that all potential donors take steps to verify that a request for funds has been made by Action for Conservation and is not fraudulent. Steps can include, a request for copies of bank statements, communication with one or more charity Trustees or senior staff and requests for details on charity spending and income. Applications will always be made from a charity email address ending in actionforconservation.org and never by third party individuals or organisations.
8. Contact us
If at any time you feel concerned or suspicious about contact you have had or an application you have received, please get in touch with us using the contact details listed at the bottom of this website for verification.
